LCD Soundsystem – Dance Yrself Clean – Muppets rock out in Brighton

Ein paar Jahre nach dem Gig des inoffiziellen Videos für LCD Soundsystem’s “New York, I Love You But You’re Bringing Me Down” haben die Muppets es jetzt wieder getan und diesmal Brighton mit einem Überraschungs-Gig gerockt und beglückt. Und wartet ab: Erst ab Minute drei geht´s so richtig los.
A couple years ago, an unofficial video for LCD Soundsystem’s “New York, I Love You But You’re Bringing Me Down” had Kermit the Frog lip-synching frontman James Murphy’s words. It was brilliant, and somehow surprisingly well-suited to the vibe of the band.
Here, Kermit reprises his role as a Murphy surrogate in this new, also unofficial video for “Dance Yrself Clean” by filmmaker Javier Douglas. In Douglas’ clip, Kermit and the Muppets gang get together for a rooftop concert in Brighton, England, as well as an afterparty DJ’d by Animal. The production values aren’t the best, but it’s funny, adorable and perfectly matches the balance of melancholy and joy in the music.

Sam Tsui´s “Don’t Stop Believing” – Glee Cover Medley

Sam Tsui, einer der ganz grossen “Youtube Stars”, der uns unter anderem den wirklich coolen und millionenfach angeklickten “Michael Jackson Medley” (+22 Mio. Views) beschert hat, machte selbiges auch mit dem Glee Track “Don’t Stop Believing”. Ich find´s jetzt nicht sooo burnermässig, aber ist eben das “Most Watched” Glee Video bei Youtube und so scheisse ist es ja jetzt auch wieder nicht ..
