Es gibt ein paar neue Kleinigkeiten zu STARZ Spartacus Vengeance (aka Spartacus Blood and Sand – Staffel 2). 1.) einen offiziellen US-Start beim Pay-TV Sender. 2.) ein offizielles fesches Poster das natürlich in Front den neuen Sandalen und Titelhelden Liam McIntyre featured, und 3.) ein neues crackiges Video, das so eine Mischung aus BTS-Featurette inklusive Kommentare von Cast und Machern ist, plus neues Footage Material aus Vengeance liefert.

Also. Schritt für die Schritt. Der US-Start zuerst. Der erwartet uns am 27. Januar, und das war so auch nicht anders von STARZ geplant. Dieses Datum ist also keine sonderlich große Überraschung.

Zweitens, das Poster, das kommt wie 3.) auch das BTS-Video von EW:

Die Story von Spartacus Vengeance setzt wenige Wochen nach dem blutigen Finale von Blood and Sand an: Capua ist in Aufruhr und die Gladiatoren (erstmal) auf der Flucht:

Jetzt haben wir also alles. Noch ein Poster, eine weitere Featurette, die ganz bestimmt nicht die letzte gewesen sein wird, und die ersten Teaser, plus Trailer haben wir ja schon dank der 2011 Comic Con in San Diego sehen dürfen. Aber auch da wird sicherlich noch die eine oder andere Promo in den nächsten Wochen auf uns zukommen. Also: Let the battle begin! Rome, u’re falling down. Burn, baby, burn!

Update, 04.11.2011: Es gibt auch eine offizielle PM von STARZ zu Spartacus: Vengeance. Die drei “wichtigsten, interessantesten” Absätze habe ich mal rausgefischt, wer mehr möchte, findet das HIER:

Australian actor Liam McIntyre (Ektopos, Radev, “Neighbours,” “The Pacific”) assumes the title role of Spartacus in this next chapter of the acclaimed series. McIntyre is joined by returning favorites: Lucy Lawless (“Xena: Warrior Princess,” “Battlestar Galactica”) as Lucretia; Peter Mensah (Avatar, 300, The Incredible Hulk) as Oenomaus – once known as Doctore; Manu Bennett (The Marine, 30 Days of Night), as Crixus; Dustin Clare (“Underbelly,” “Satisfaction”) as Gannicus; Nick E. Tarabay (“Crash,” “CSI: Miami”) as Ashur; and Katrina Law (“Third Watch”) as Mira.

Season two also brings the return of “Blood and Sand” cast members, Craig Parker (The Lord of the Rings Trilogy) as Gaius Cladius Glaber, the Roman commander who condemned Spartacus to slavery, and his alluring and cunning wife Ilithyia (Accidents Happen), played by Viva Bianca. Actress Cynthia Addai-Robinson (“Dirt”) joins the series as Naevia, the former body slave to Lucretia who was banished from the Ludus for engaging in a love affair with Crixus.
