Tron: Uprising – Animated Comic Con Teaser

Disney rast weiter in vollem Tempo dem Sommer 2012 entgegen, jener Zeit, da die zehnteilige Miniserie Tron: Uprising planmässig an den Start gehen soll. Vielleicht ist es die ideale Ergänzung zu den beiden TRON Filmen, dem Klassiker mit Jeff Bridges aus dem Jahre 1982 und dem Reboot aus dem vergangenen Jahr, (ebenfalls mit Bridges), Garrett Hedlund, Oliva Wilde und Bruce Boxleitner. Möglichkeiten, Dinge aus den verborgenen Ecken des Grid zu erzählen, dem digitalen “Nowhere”, gibt es sicherlich viele, denn eines haben wir ganz sicher aus den Filmen gelernt: Grenzen gibt es dort und anderswo keine.
Kürzlich hat Disney nun, ergänzt zu dem ersten Teaser Trailer, einen neuen Clip der Öffentlichkeit auf der 2011 Comic Con in San Diego vorgestellt, und das hier ist er (ab 1:10 etwa, hört das “statische Gehabe” auf!)

Elijah Wood, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Mandy Moore, Paul Reubens, Lance Henriksen, und Bruce Boxleitner übernehmen die Sprechrollen.
Tron Uprising soll im Sommer 2012 premieren.
Produced by Disney Television Animation, the series follows Beck, a young program who becomes the unlikely leader of a revolution inside the computer world of The Grid. His mission is to free his home and friends from the reign of the villainous Clu and his henchman General Tesler. Beck will be trained by Tron – the greatest warrior the Grid has ever known. Tron will not only teach Beck the fighting skills he needs to challenge this brutal military occupation, but will be a guide and mentor to him as he grows beyond his youthful, impulsive nature into a courageous, powerful leader. Destined to become the new protector of the system, Beck adopts Tron’s persona and becomes the archenemy of Tesler and his oppressive forces.
